The role of the Regional Healthcare Sales Director is to promote and sell CLS’s entire portfolio of services to the healthcare market in that assigned region. This role will be responsible for generating and managing new business growth by carrying themselves with enthusiasm and passion for CLS’s purpose, mission and values. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, this position exists to drive profitable sales, build market share, and increase brand awareness while creating long-term relationships with key decision makers and influencers in this market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute growth strategies for new and existing accounts within defined region and programs, both short and long range, to ensure profitable growth, market share position and expansion of CLS services.
- Prepares and reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs, volume potential, pricing schedules and develops sales campaigns to achieve company sales goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key health systems, facilities and existing accounts within the region.
- Build relationships with the leadership within the region and develop a clear understanding of each plants market strengths as well as their growth needs and opportunities.
- Build useful relationships with other key industry partners and actively search for new leads through a strong industry network.
- Demonstrate strong selling and relationship building skills.
- Discover and relay competitive intelligence by being fluent on all competitors in the region and ensuring that the growth strategy is in line with CLS’s strengths in comparison to our competitors weaknesses.
- Records and reports significant activity, sales pipeline and status of deals, projects and opportunities on a regular basis.
- Build presentations and sales tools utilizing existing sales material as well as developing new messaging.
- Deliver and execute sales presentations.
- Maintain timely and accurate expense reporting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in healthcare/hospital sales or sales management. Service selling preferable.
- Must reside in the territory.
- Clear understanding of how health systems make decisions within our service line.
- Strategic ability to transform current state conditions into growth oriented future state.
- Comfortability with prospecting, cold calling and managing sales pipelines.
- Problem solving skills and desire to bring creative solutions to business opportunities.
- Passion for relationship building across a team as well as cross functionally.
- Motivated, enthusiastic and positive even during stressful times.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Willing to travel as needed to fulfill the needs of the region.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Ability to put professional sales material together with minimal assistance.
- Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively.
