JOB SUMMARY includes, but not limited to:
Summary/Objective:
The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for actively driving and managing the sales process, working in conjunction with technical teams as the key commercial liaison. This position will identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure customer satisfaction. The position will be responsible for developing and capturing new sales opportunities within assigned area of responsibility. Additionally, the position will establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle including fulfillment of recurring opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Respond to functional and technical elements of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests For Products (RFPs). Generate proposals with technical value to support customer proposals and exhibit corporate capabilities specific to the offering.
- Develop new industry contacts and build customer relationships maintaining strong communication via email, teleconference, in person site-visits and presentations within assigned accounts and geographical sales area.
- Act as the key business expert for the region assigned and know at all times the existing business scope and potential opportunities available along with requirements to support sales growth
- Understand all customer requirements in order to convey to production, engineering, and management
- Forecast sales targets and goals for the opportunities available within area of responsibility; ability to evaluate and integrate Market Analysis to related industries and customer basis.
- Attend industry conferences, seminars, etc.
- Generate reports and log sales activities using available tools and ability to effectively utilize company ERP system.
- Travel throughout sales territory on a frequent basis and/or arrange virtual meetings when on-site access is not available
- This is not a remote position, must be able to make commute to Culpeper, Virginia and be in office when not traveling.
Required Education and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience of B2B sales
- Industrial or manufacturing background, preferably in aerospace or composites preferred
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical, engineering, or business related field
- Experience may be considered in lieu of education
- International experience desirable
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication are a must
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Power Point
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Maintain high level of professionalism
- Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to work in team environment
- Extended periods of reading and computer use
- Lifting of up to 25 pounds unassisted
- Up to 50% travel
- Walking and working in production areas; knowledge and understanding of 5-Axis CNC machines and industrial machinery including table saws, ovens, etc.
- Other tasks as requested by management
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 8-5
Salary Information:
- Salary Plus Commissions, Exempt
