Summary

As iptiQ Division is undergoing a transformation (Program Horizon 25) it brings both strategic challenges and opportunities to our business requiring strong ownership and drive of iptiQ Division level strategic topics, as well strong contribution from Regional Strategy teams.



As the Regional Strategy Manager, you will be work closely with the Regional Market Executive and the local Management Team to define and drive the strategy for the region and to monitor, track and support the execution of strategic initiatives that help deliver the financial plan. You will also work closely with the global strategy team to create alignment and support with global frameworks and global strategic initiatives.



You will report to OE Regional Market Executive/Business Lead.



Individual Accountabilities

  • Support the Regional Market Executive and members of the Management Team, define the strategy for the region around topics such as lines of business, distribution channels, geographical footprint, office footprint etc.
  • Independently accelerate and drive progress of key strategic initiatives within OEs, as per prioritized list of initiatives and needs of Regional Market Executive
  • Proactively tracks progress and performance of initiatives and KPIs across OE
  • Support Global Strategy Lead by actively contributing to global strategy frameworks creation and process ensuring early buy-in
  • In line with the global iptiQ strategy act as key contributor to relevant initiatives on the global scale
  • Hold local responsibility for Transaction Committee subject to approval and materiality limits
  • Coordinate the strategy, business and financial planning process, act as challenger to the business teams and finance
  • In collaboration with Global Strategy team, work on M&A support and PIA liaison if necessary
  • Create OE specific insight into industry and market trends, competitive threats/intelligence and possible business opportunities in the region. Contribute to iptiQ GO Playbook on industry trends
  • Coordinate and deliver content for OE & Divisional BoD meetings and other submissions required by the Group

Stakeholder Management

  • Ability to partner and collaborate across business and functional teams at all levels across iptiQ OE and Division
  • Able to quickly embed global resources into local initiatives and run/contribute to multiple projects at a time
  • Engaging personality that could be seen as strategy ambassador, able to inspire and raise awareness on strategic topics via strong relationships enabled by trust
  • Regularly collaborate, seek alignment across strategy professionals within iptiQ Division
  • Build relationship with Finance professionals to ensure the integrity of and the useful application of financials
  • Support Transformation Lead in project portfolio, and initiative reporting on regional level

Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Ideal candidate would have 3+ years’ experience at a top Management Consulting firm and/or in a Corporate Strategy/Finance function; experience in and strong fundamental understanding of primary insurance (P&C or L&H), including know-how across the value chain in context of region of applicant
  • Some experience in structuring and executing strategy-oriented workstreams would be a plus
  • Sound business acumen paired with strong understanding of the insurance incumbents as well as the Insurtech landscape
  • Strong result-oriented project manager with an ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and ability to quickly evaluate ideas both qualitatively and quantitatively and translate into action plans
  • Very good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong emotional intelligence to deal with sensitivity of information & seniority of audience
  • Strong executive presence
