PICC Line RN
Summary:
- Performs individualized patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Performs assessment using ultrasound to identify appropriate vein to include anatomy and size related
- to catheter and its use.
- Maintains sterile field throughout procedure.
- Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing and AL state licensure required. BSN preferred. PICC and Midline certification preferred.
Experience:
Two to three years of experience required. Wound care experience preferred.
Additional Skills / Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills required. Proficient oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills required. Must be ACLS certified within 1 year of hire date.
