• Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing
  on physiologic, cognitive and cultural diversity of the patient.
• Applies knowledge of illness, injuries and diseases and uses available resources in
  assessment processes.
• Provides written assessment of patient on admission and subsequently; based on
  patient need and IMC policy.
• Formulates a goal directed, individualized plan of care, prioritizes and utilizes
  efficient resources as developed from documented nursing diagnoses/patient care
  and outcomes.
• Collaborates as appropriate with physician and other clinical disciplines in
  planning interventions to meet patient and family needs.
• Implements plan of care, executing nursing interventions in accordance with
  established standards, policies and procedures.
• Intervenes with proper technique, procedure and safety precautions to meet
  individual needs of patients and families.
• Documents nursing interventions provided to meet assessed patient/family needs.
• Evaluates and documents patient response to and outcome of care provided and
  revises plan of care accordingly.
• Participates actively in staff development activities for unit and provides support
  and guidance to colleagues.
• Participates in performance improvement activities for hospital and unit/service.
• Works collaboratively with all members of the health-care team.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or ICU.

• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Licenses, Certifications:

• Current NY State RN License required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS) required.

Physical Requirements:

• Involves standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing and bending.
• May include some repetitive motions.
