We take time to celebrate each other’s contributions and treat each other with respect by valuing each other’s ideas and opinions. Ultimately, we support each other’s growth. Together, we form a world-class team dedicated to furthering the practice of patient care.

We are looking for a RN to join our Bone and Marrow Transplant Unit!

Other patients in this unit include hematology/oncology Cancer Center patients requiring inpatient treatment, as well as those patients serving as marrow donors through the National Marrow Donor Program and Gift of Life. Patients can be admitted to the unit from home, other hospitals, and other inpatient units, or from the outpatient unit.

Job Summary

Nurses on this 16-bed acute unit provide care to adult patients with hematologic malignancies undergoing stem cell transplant or cellular therapies such as CAR-T (Chimeric antigen receptor) therapy, a new and innovative treatment for several hematologic malignancies, including Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Nurses actively participate in clinical trials and novel therapies. With many cancer patients experiencing extended and repeated hospital admissions, nurses are able to connect with patients and families, and greatly impact their care and outcomes.

On the Blood and Marrow Transplant inpatient unit, you’ll learn to administer advanced cancer-fighting therapies and earn an Oncology Nursing Society Chemo/Biotherapy certificate. You’ll administer blood products, monitor and treat patients for specific disease or treatment-related toxicities, and provide supportive/palliative care to a challenging and vulnerable patient population. Delivery of effective, compassionate cancer care depends on a knowledgeable, strong and dedicated team, and the nurses on this Oncology unit are essential to achieving that mission.
