Job Summary:

GardaWorld Federal Serivces is looking for Rehabilitation Nurses who can work 12-hour shifts in a 40-bed facility with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7. Rehab RNs will be expected to provide care to patients suffereing from chronic conditions and illnesses. The types of patients that our registered nurses would work with will include stroke victims, neuro, brain injury, cardiac and ortho patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Rehabilitation nurses assess patients and develop nursing plans of care to meet their medical needs.
• Administer medications and collaborate with physicians about their prognosis and treatment.
• Collaborate extensively with physical therapist, social workers and occupational therapist.
• Coordinate and attend interdisciplinary meeting to discuss patients’ progress and make changes to plans of care.
• Perform dressing changes and other procedures for patients who have undergone surgery.
• Suction patients who have had tracheotomies and perform trach care.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes in their health status to a physician.
• Administer enteral feedings to patients that are not to have any food orally and administer IV medications.
• Administer blood products as ordered by physician.

Qualifications:

• Must possess valid BLS/CPR
• Must hold active RN License
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have waiver

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Physical Demands: The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
