InterServ is seeking a part time RN Supervisor to provide oversight to the In Home Services program including Professional Medical Services. This position will be 5-10 hours per month to review documentation and provide supervision and recommendations to our In Home Services department.

Job Summary

Monitors nursing staff to provide Professional Medical Services to clients. Reviews documentation of nursing visits and provides nursing oversight to the program.

Works under the supervision of Director of Social Services.

Essential Job Functions-Responsibilities

1. Provides oversight to In Home Managers to assure that services are being delivered in accordance with the client’s care plan.

2. Provides assistance in the preparation of training and orientation of Personal Care Attendants. Assuring that all Personal Care Attendants are trained to completely perform all tasks.

3. Provides oversight to the process and documents used by staff who conduct annual supervisory visits and review completed performance evaluations.

4. Establishes, reviews, and enforces a policy governing communicable diseases and others for the In Home services department. Provides professional insight as requested regarding company policy.

5. Assures compliance with reporting requirements governing communicable diseases, including hepatitis and tuberculosis.

6. Provides oversight of nurse tasks performed by LPNs, including service delivery and documentation. Reviews and approves all nurse documentation including visit reports and General Health Evaluations.

7. As necessary, makes six-month monitoring visit to clients authorized for advanced personal care and evaluate the plan of care and the Personal Care Attendant/CNA’s ability to carry out services.

8. Communicates with In Home Management regarding staff and client concerns.

Job Specifications

1. Education: Accredited RN Program graduate

2. Licensure: Current Missouri RN License

3. Experience: Knowledge and experience with senior and disabled clients.

4. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: N/A

5. Interpersonal Skills: Good communication skills

6. Essential Physical Requirement: Ability to navigate a variety of obstacles in client homes. Ability to position self to access lower and upper shelves and cabinets. Ability to ascend and descend stairs.

7. Essential Mental Abilities: Plan and develop training programs, clinically assess clients, and make recommendations. Speak in front of groups. Ability to extrapolate available medical information and make professional recommendations for services.

8. Essential Sensory Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively and observe quality of personal services rendered.

9. Exposure to Hazards: May be occupational exposure to blood or other infectious material as defined by OSHA.

10. Other: Minimum age 21 years, valid driver’s license. provide own transportation, and vehicle insurance coverage.

Pay: $34.27 - $37.21 per hour
