Responsibilities

The essential duties of the Registration associate will be to ensure that accurate patient information is collected. This position will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits and eligibility; you will also be contacting guarantors and insurance companies to verify coverage and or update demographic/ insurance information to satisfy the patients’ financial obligation to the provider. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to interact with both the patient and our external partners in a courteous and professional manner, exhibiting patience and friendliness.
Skills and Abilities; Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and other Windows products. Good verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail are desired along with an upbeat, go-getter attitude!

This is a fully Remote position.

Effective November 1
st , 2021 Pediatrix will require all employees and new hires to be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they qualify for an approved medical and/or religious exemption.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
