Registration Supervisor
Job description
This position is responsible for the daily supervision of staff engaged in completion of patient registration and associated tasks which includes collection and validation of information and requisitioning orders and services. Insurance related task responsibilities include verification, medical necessity screening, and collection of co-payments and associated paperwork. This position must be able to perform all duties required of the Patient Access Representative including but not limited to oversight of the completion of order entry, registration activation, reporting of admissions and transfers and other duties as assigned. Responsible for staff hiring and training to maintain adequate staffing. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates degree or equivalent preferred. Working knowledge of basic medical terminology and completion of medical terminology course. 2 years supervisory experience required. Hospital experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office needed.
