Essential Job Duties:
- Work the Daily Transactions by Payer report accurately and timely
- Applies appropriate transaction lines to accounts, Change FC to ensure proper flow of claims in AR, time accounts appropriately to collectors as indicated, send letters as appropriate.
- Verifying that prime insurance has processed properly, and forwarding balance to secondary insurance or patient
- Correcting adjustment errors
- Determining if balances require adjustment or review by collections/appeals
- Ensure that patient bills reflect accurate balance
- Verifying that correct transaction codes were used
- Maintain productivity standards and report statistics as directed. Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific computer software and technology.
- Ability to perform all other duties as assigned or requested.
