About the Opportunity

As an HR Assistant III, you will provide high level HR support for nine recruiters as well as confidential support for the Director and Assistant Director of Talent Strategy. You will also function as the coordinator of the New Employee Orientation.

You will be part of the Talent Strategy team, within the Department of Talent and Culture, and will report to the Director of Talent Strategy.

PAY GRADE - 14

HOURLY RATE: $15 - $17 based on experience

What you’ll do:

  • Process Invoices
  • Coordinate New Employee Orientation, which includes:
    o updating documents
    o logistics and contacting other departments and new hires
    o continually updating virtual NMO module with assistance from LOD
    o mailing WVU Swag
    o ordering WVU Swag
    o answering questions from new employees
  • Order office supplies for team.
  • Background Check Committee Coordination
  • Background Checks
  • Monitor and respond to messages in the Employment Email Vanity Email
  • Monitor EEO Email Vanity Email Account
  • Manage External Job posting process
  • P-card Reconciliation
  • Submit requests to Chronicle for advertisement affidavits
  • Manually post positions to Chronicle
  • Create user groups or change user group names after HR Org request approvals
  • Participate in job fairs, as needed
  • Provide General HR Administrative Support
  • Talent Strategy Support
    o Answer questions from applicants and hiring supervisors regarding the employment process
    o Coordinate and schedule job interviews
    o Initiates background checks
    o Field questions from candidates
Qualifications
  • Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A degree in business, human resources or related is preferred.
  • A combination of two (2) years of experience in the following areas are required:
    • Administrative experience in an office/business setting, preferably in a Human Resources environment
    • Experience with spreadsheets, word processing and database software
    • Customer relations experience
