Applications Administrator

Under general supervision is responsible for supporting the team with their day-to-day operations and maintenance of software applications and related databases. Performs application configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and testing of application performance, ensuring reliable operation for all users, and troubleshooting system failures or computer hardware and software issues. May conduct training and support other application users within the organization.

Education, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or statistical related field.

Experience in technical application support and troubleshooting of software and hardware issues; configuration and enhancement of application software, upgrading systems and processes to improve functionality, installation, and testing of new or changed hardware/software, responding to and resolving end user reported issues, and oversight of system and related data backup processes.

Additional duties.

• General Server administration/ configuration of Windows Server 2016 and/ or greater
  • Experience with Server troubleshooting
  • Experience with Server Performance tuning
• Experience/ understanding of Active Directory
• Understanding of virtual server technology

Knowledge of systems architecture, computer network administration, database management, and application/software configuration.

Familiar with REDCap:

• REDCap is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. While REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data in any environment (including compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, FISMA, HIPAA, and GDPR), it is specifically geared to support online and offline data capture for research studies and operations.
