Who is this position for?
This is a position for an outstanding College Graduate or seasoned lab manager with basic experience in biology, working at a major Alzheimer's disease research lab in the Department of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine in New York. The candidate will be trained in a leadership role in the lab, with major responsibilities working with the principal investigators and other scientists. This is a full-time position, with the benefits offered by the Icahn School of Medicine in the Mount Sinai Health System.
Responsibilities Include:
· Managing research grants scientifically, administratively and proves capable of communicating among senior faculties and funding agencies under the supervision of the PI.
· Executing assistant duties working with the PI
· Becoming familiar with pre-award and post-award handling of research grants
· Taking the opportunity for involvement in the discussion of the science for grant funding, research publications, and authorship.
· Handling both personal PI communication and effectively work while coordinating, preparing and publishing research manuscripts.

*The ideal candidate will possess:*
A candidate with passion for learning the process of managing a research laboratory, from a scientific and intellectual perspective. The candidate must provide interest in improving his/her curriculum for possible application to Medical or Graduate school. The candidate must be familiar and knowledgeable with scientific terminology and be able to assist the PI in handling research grant applications and prove capable of managing research publications. The candidate is also expected to be familiar with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook) and be prepared to constantly update social media platforms. Salary is commensurate to the candidate expertise.
