Primary focus is to coordinate and oversee research activities, including participant recruitment, enrollment, and data collection/management/analysis; assist with IRB requirements and submissions; assist in supervising staff; and manage data input on several funded research projects in the Center for Autism Research.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with IRB, HIPAA, and HRPO guidelines; assist in coordinating activities related to IRB applications, submissions, audits, and renewals.
  • Assist in supervising staff, preparing/conducting performance appraisals; participate in hiring processes.
  • Manage process of obtaining participants’ medical and or educational records.
  • Maintain/monitor data in recruitment database (SIMS and REDCap) at the highest level of compliance and accuracy.
  • Review study protocols with participants and obtain informed consent documentation.
  • Coordinate scheduling of participant research visits, including transportation when authorized; ensure that procedures are conducted in accordance with required protocols; coordinate process for participant reimbursement.
  • Administer questionnaires per protocol requirements.
  • Assist in administrative aspects of grant preparation, development of project proposals, and development of research/grant budgets.

· Assist in generating reports, preparing manuscripts, and writing sections for peer-reviewed articles. Write reports summarizing collected data and progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's and/or master’s degree(s) in psychology, education, or related field.
  • At least three years of related research experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with participants, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a clinical/research/educational setting working with either adults or children with disabilities and their families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced research environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parents, educators, clinicians, and individuals on the autism spectrum.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
