Location: 1450 Commerce Blvd, Anniston, AL 36207

Working Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday 9:00AM to 5:30PM

PURPOSE:

  • The PO Discrepancy Researcher will research and action inventory inquiries including purchase orders and reports to ensure accurate inventory.
  • This position will collaborate with multiple teams including the local inventory team to process and document inventory control records.
  • They will also help support inventory projects and programs to ensure accuracy and in compliance with service levels.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and action purchase order rejections and corrections, chargebacks, problem log, Over Shortage & Damage vendor disputes and address quantity and vendor compliance
  • Reviews and takes appropriate action on daily reports including but not limited to: Daily Inventory Change, Negative Inventory, Daily Inventory Evaluation, discontinued items, and other inventory related reports.
  • Monitors warehouse outs and inventory adjustments daily and take any necessary corrective action.
  • Sign and date all pick-up documents and return to inventory control coordinator for SOX recorded keeping.
  • Maintains record retention program in compliance with corporate guidelines and policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding with inventory inquiries including reclamation, Quality Control, Procurement and Operations leadership.
  • Update home slot quantities when removing product from the home slot.
  • Partner with Quality Control to transfer product as directed
  • Performs other relevant job duties as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/ Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Capability of being licensed in operating powered industrial equipment

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in in both mechanized and conventional warehousing, picking and storage operations in dry grocery and perishable areas(required)
  • Experience as a selector or lift operator (strongly preferred)

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of safety guidelines
  • Have strong knowledge of inventory control functions
  • Understanding of paperwork and reporting methods related to tracking inventory
  • Strong knowledge of applicable warehouse mgmt. system and RF system

Skills/ Abilities:

  • Possess ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data
  • Ability to partner with a wide variety of people both in person and virtually
  • Strong math, tabulation and reconciliation skills
  • Strong communication skills; both written and oral applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be motivated and take initiative
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple tasks

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Ability to recognize and read location codes, date codes and product codes
  • Proficiency in PC software tools for reports, analysis, and audits. MS Outlook, Word and Excel experience required

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:

  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability to lift between 40-60 pounds daily and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
  • Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
  • Ability to operate work related equipment
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Moving about the distribution center warehouse floor
