RESIDENT LIFE LEADER
Location: East Otis, Massachusetts
Compensation: $360+/Week DOE
Dates: Approximately early-June to early-August

Camp Description: The Berkshire Soccer Academy is a private overnight soccer camp for girls. We offer an elite training
experience for girls, ages 10-16, in a traditional camp setting on a private lake in the Berkshires.
Scope of Work: There are typically 4 Resident Life Leaders that work as a team under the Resident Life Coordinator and
Directors. Together, they work alongside the Health Center staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for both campers
and staff. Each Resident Life Leader is responsible for the well-being of 3-5 cabin groups of campers and their cabin counselors
each session. They guide, mentor and assist cabin counselors to create a positive and cohesive cabin group, help resolve
conflict, and generally attend to any daily needs to support the campers and cabin counselors in their assigned cabins. This
position requires an outstanding ability to work both independently and collaboratively. At times, this position may require
creating partnerships with parents through in-person and phone communication.
A typical day may begin as early as 7:00AM and end as late as 10:00PM. This includes 1 day-off for every 6 working days and
regularly scheduled breaks throughout the day.
Job Qualifications based on our Service Standards:
v Preferred academic background in counseling, child development or related field.
v At least 2 years previous experience supervising staff and overseeing program activities.
v At least 2 years previous experience working with youth and conflict resolution or counseling.
v Previous camp experience is a plus.
v Must be prepared to live in a rugged mountain setting with limited access to phone/internet.
• Must be trustworthy and have a proven track record of following-through with commitments.
