Communities for People (CFP) is a non-profit agency serving youth and families through community-based programs and services. You will be instrumental in helping youth and families to achieve permanency, independence and integration into the community. You will gain professional experience and exposure to the child welfare system. We are looking for 2nd and 3rd shift (overnight) Direct Care Counselors for our Somerville, Brighton, Newton and Boston locations.EOE

Bonus. FULL TIME candidates can earn up to $2000!!!

• $500 upon completion of 90 Introductory period
• $500 on 6-month anniversary
• $1000 on your 1 Year Anniversary.

Residential Direct Care Counselor Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dependability and reliability
• Ensure that the clients are receiving proper care
• Providing a safe physical/emotional environment
• Providing supervision
• Assist in developing and carrying out goals
• Excellent at conflict management
• Provide transportation as necessary
• Adhere to site policies, routines, and procedures
• Maintain certifications and trainings
• Attend weekly meetings, in-service trainings and orientation programs

Residential Direct Care Counselor Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalency
• Valid driver's license
• Must be 21+ yr old
• Own reliable transportation
• Bilingual (Spanish) a HUGE plus
• Depending on the program, must complete MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification within 3 months of hire date

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $19.50 per hour
