We are currently looking for a caring and reliable Residential Direct Support Professionals to join our team. As the Supervisor, you will assist the Supervising Case Manager with the daily operations of the day programs and provide direction, training, and support to the other direct support professionals.

A typical day will include:

  • Providing culturally appropriate direct support to residents using person-centered approaches and strategies that fully engage and include residents in each aspect of their daily life, have maximum choice and control, and gain independence. This can take many forms in home or community settings including:
  • Support and motivation to reach individual goals and objectives.
  • Engage and assist with personal care as well as meaningful activities that cater to the resident’s individual interest, preferences, and choices; teaching as necessary.
  • Assistance with self-help needs including in the areas of grooming, hygiene, toileting, feeding and mobility as needed.
  • Assisting in the development of, and independently implementing, Individual Support Plans designed to enhance personal growth and independence for residents.
  • Preparing Therap audit reports; assessing behaviors and tracking supports.
  • Assisting with house management such as checking inventory and ordering supplies.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must meet, at minimum, one of the following criteria:
  • Possession of a valid vocational nurse or psychiatric technician license issued by the Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners.
  • Completion of at least 30 college or university units in education, social services, behavioral sciences, health sciences, or related fields, AND six (6) months experience providing direct support to developmentally disabled persons.
  • Eighteen (18) months experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled person under the supervision of a qualified intellectual disability professional (QIDP).
  • Valid CA Driver’s License with clean driving record; Comfort driving a full size van with multiple passengers.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.

We’d love it if you:

  • Are experienced using electronic case management systems (Therap)
  • Have supervisory experience
  • Are multi-lingual (English, Spanish, Tagalog)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
