Respiratory Therapist
Setting: Skilled nursing facility
Status: Full-Time
Shift: NOC; 6pm-6:30am
Location: Avamere Transitional Care & Rehabilitation - Malley - 401 Malley Dr. Northglenn, CO 80233
Pay: $29 - $37.12/hour (DOE)
Avamere Transitional Care and Rehab – Malley staff specialize in skilled nursing and rehabilitation all with the goal of enhancing the life of every person who walks through their doors. Nestled in Northglenn, Colorado, their community features 162 beds. Their services include: skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care. This location is also a designated Hospital Back-Up (HBU), which is a program providing high acuity care to residents who are ventilator dependent, have complex wounds, or have medically complex needs. These residents are not able to live independently but no longer need acute care or LTAC levels of care.

Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory and clinical assessments and services under Physician orders.
- Provide care to Trach and Vent patients per Physician’s orders.
- Monitor resident progress and update patient’s respiratory care plan.
- Provide general respiratory therapeutic services including oxygen therapy, medical gas therapy, aerosol therapy, humidification therapy, and suction therapy.
- Educate residents and their family to relevant disease, medications, equipment, the purpose of procedures, steps of procedures, benefits, risks and alternatives to care.
- Participate in discharge planning for residents requiring respiratory therapies in a community setting.
Qualifications:
- Required to be a graduate and be awarded an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a respiratory therapy education program supported or accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
- Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Please Note: Effective Oct. 18, 2021, all Avamere employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical or religious exception. If you are hired by Avamere after Oct. 18, 2021, you will need to be fully vaccinated (or obtain an approved exemption) prior to starting work and need to provide proof of vaccination (or approved exemption) within 10 days of starting work.
