Job Summary
This position is responsible for the administration of respiratory care to patients of all ages. Performs functions as outlined below in the following care areas: general acute care med surg department, emergency department, surgical suites, recovery rooms, and outpatient pulmonary rehab and other clinical areas as needed. Works closely with MCRHC providers and nursing staff to deliver optimal care to patients of all ages. Proactively works with patients and family members to promote health and an exceptional care experience.
Position:
- 1.0 FTE, 80 hours in 2 weeks (includes benefits)
- Day shift, 8a-5p Monday - Friday
- No call, no weekends, no holidays!
Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program required.
- Credentialed by the NBRC at the Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist level required.
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure in the state of Iowa required.
- Respiratory care, emergency care, or intensive care experience, preferred.
- Experience in pulmonary rehabilitation and pulmonary function testing, preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- BLS, ACLS and Mandatory Reporting for Child and Dependent Adult training hire required within 6 months of hire.
- CAPRS and N95 fit testing validation within 30 days of hire required.
Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,000 visits annually.
