The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Youth Respite Care Worker to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay rate of $13.16 to $15.64; based on previous relevant experience
- Schedule – Monday through Friday 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm and Saturdays 8:30 am to 4:30. Schedule for weekday evenings may be flexible, based on client needs.
Primary Duties:
- Supervise children receiving respite behavioral health services at The Guidance Center's Leavenworth office
- Work with children during structed activities to create and safe and productive environment
- Document events of respite session in Electronic Health Record
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or GED required. Must be 21 years of age or older and have six months experience working with youth. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included. Preferred: One year of college course work or one year experience in the field of human services or a combination of each; experience working with youth with mental health issues.
