Amara Resort and Spa is a 100 room, boutique, lifestyle resort nestled in the heart of uptown Sedona beneath the red rocks and next to the creek. Amara Resort and Spa offers guests dining options in our 3-meal, full-service restaurant, SaltRock Kitchen, or by way of room service. Guests can also enjoy the only infinity pool in uptown Sedona while sipping on craft cocktails and signature margaritas from the Pool Bar. With an uninterrupted view of Snoopy Rock, there are many weeks weddings or special events are hosted in the central courtyard and meeting spaces.
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and directing all aspects of Food & Beverage operations, including team members, service and profit management. The Restaurant Manager is expected to market ideas to promote business; reduce turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and remain on the floor while keeping quality consistently high.
- Approach all encounters with guests and team members in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Manage the labor costs of the departments while ensuring service excellence.
- Maintain high standards of service by developing the team to follow all service standards.
- Comply at all times with Amara Resort and Spa standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Manage recruitment, coaching and corrective action process
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operations of the hotel's Food & Beverage outlets.
- Supervise all team members.
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.
- Ensure preparation of required reports, including (but not limited to) payroll, team members schedules, quarterly actions plans.
- Monitor quality of service in Food & Beverage outlets.
- Assist in menu planning and preparation.
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures in all outlets.
Desired Qualifications
Education
- Hotel/Restaurant Management Degree Preferred
Skills and Experience (Essential)
- At least 18 years of age
- At least1-3 years in food and beverage supervisory or managerial position
- Intermediate computer skills
- Possess a good command of the English language and ability to communicate with guests clearly and pleasantly, both in person and by telephone
- Strong Food and Beverage knowledge
