ProGro Partners is a sister company to Olson’s Greenhouse. We focus on the maintenance and service of our plants inside big box stores. We service many plant suppliers inside Walmart, Home Depot, Costco and Sam’s Club. We are dedicated to helping our customers grow through our combined efforts and ability to drive more community engagement and product awareness.
As an Assistant Area Manager you will be responsible for the maintenance of garden center products. This will include: placing, organizing, caring for and merchandising a variety of live goods. While reporting to and working close with the Area Manager, assistants will also help train and oversee general merchandisers. Assistants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling a large quantity of perishable product. While you will report to an Area Manager, being able to work with minimal supervision while still being efficient is key to succeed in this role.
Assistant Area Managers will be hired as Full-Time Regular employees. In most cases this will require full time hours (40 hrs) a week from March-December with some flexibility. Due to seasonality of our business, January and February will likely require less than 40 hours a week while caring for a very small amount of indoor house plants.

Essential Job Duties:
· Merchandising of live good products
· Pull/Push racks of product
· Consolidate and Cull plants according to standards set by manager
· Place product in designated area for optimal presentation
· Work in a fast-paced environment and be able to make quick decisions
· Maintain calm and positive attitude towards all customers, associates, managers, and co-workers
· Report daily to Area Manager: Needs, Issues, Opportunities, etc.
· Hire, Train and Manage seasonal merchandisers
Requirements for the job include:
- Ability to lead 1-4 merchandising teams in several garden centers.
- Effectively travel and manage the daily needs of teams, garden centers in assigned geographical locations.
- Ability to repeatedly lift potted plants (up to 20 pounds or more)
- Be coachable and willing to learn how to be an influential leader
- Be dependable and trustworthy for your Area Manager Supervisor
- Walking and standing for the entire shift
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must provide copy of MVR and be approved for travel
- Need a phone and valid email address

Pay: $25,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
