Position Title: Retail Sales Associate
Reports to: Sales Manager
Supervises: N/A
Percentage of part time employment: Part Time
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and work standing for 4-8 hours per day, and this may include working outside in various weather elements as needed.
The Position:
The Sales Associate will drive retail sales and strengthen our global brands in our retail store locations. The incumbent should be a self-starter, dynamic, highly motivated, results driven, great communicator, enjoy working in a high energy environment with a global brand audience and possess a passion for sales, brand marketing, and customer engagement. This associate should have at least 1-2 years experience within a selling capacity. Within the pay structure, opportunities for monthly or quarterly bonuses and incentives are included.
Primary Responsibility

• Meets or exceed sales goals per hour and overall sales incentive goals.
• Strengthen the Clearwater Marine brand by promoting unique retail products to our global guests.
• Consistently engage guests and inform them that all proceeds go directly back to our CMA mission.
• Maintain targeted Sales per Guest Averages, Units per Transaction and sustain personal sales per hour goals.
• Provide stellar guest service through merchandise brand and product knowledge along with suggesting additional items based on guests interests.
• Extensive knowledge of Clearwater Marine Aquarium mission, vision, values and our global brands.
• Educated on stories and information regarding all of consumer products that we offer.
• Inform guests of all current promotions.
• Engage with all guests in an ENTHUSIASTIC and positive manner to ensure a wonderful experience.

Essential Job Functions:
The incumbent should maintain awareness and drive all current and future promotions within stores, possess the skill set of up-selling customers, knowledge and success of daily sales goals, good production knowledge to be able to assist guests with any questions, ability to process cash and credit sales transactions through remote e-mobile units and POS, replenishing stock on floor as needed, and any additional duties as assigned by the Assistant and Store Manager. The associate will spend 90% or more of their time on the sales floor focused on improving conversion through customer engagement, and consistently relay our cause marketing Help us to Help them.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Marketing Communications Degree.
• Excellent Customer Service skills with 1-2 years in a Retail Store setting.

• Ability to multi-task in high pressure situations

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work weekdays and weekends.
