Senior Sales Associate

OVERVIEW

The Sales Associate provides excellent customer service, conducts sales and merchandising and may assume other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

The Sales Associate is expected to perform all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner to achieve a safe and positive customer experience and ensure the continual improvement of the ReStore reputation, productivity and profitability.

PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Daily Operations – Under the direction of the Store Manager, provide excellent customer service experience, conduct product sales, and assist in merchandising and maintenance of the sales floor and facilities

. • Cleanliness of sales floor area: floors, bathrooms, windows, shelves

• Sales transactions

• Answering phones in a timely manner

• Cleaning of all donated and purchased product

• Pricing of all small items (large furniture and other items to be supervised by assistant manager)

• Reorganization of isles and shelves to maintain clean and neat display of items.

• Lifting and moving of furniture, doors and other large items.

• Help by riding on the Donation Truck doing residential and commercial pick-ups

• Other Duties as assigned.

The mission work of Habitat for Humanity Jackson, TN Area Inc. is dependent upon core values, community need and the opportunity to serve, collaborate and/or partner with others; therefore, while the primary responsibilities of the job remain standard, from time to time, the specific tasks can and will vary.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School graduate or GED recipient.

• One year retail sales experience, preferably in a home or building products industry

• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background and national sex offender registry screening.

• A valid driver’s license and unrestricted driving record.

• The ability to bend, reach and stand for long periods of time. The ability to repetitively lift and move 35-50lbs.

• The ability to work independently in an organized fashion, in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks

Part time position; up to 64 hours per pay period; paid hourly.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
