Aston Carter is actively seeking a Retail Vendor Manager to support the largest eCommerce company located in Seattle, WA. Role will be 100% remote, but MUST be able to support PST hours.

Daily schedule: 8-5pm, some flexibility

Compensation: $25-27/hr DOE

Remote possibility: 100% remote, must be able to support PST hours

Contract: 7 month contract with potential for extension/conversion based off of performance

Do you want to help redefine how to shop fashion in physical stores? We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic, hard-working, analytical and creative candidate to join our Selection Team (Buying Office). You will support a Category Manager (Buyer) daily on assortment management tasks.

The Associate Category Manager is an exciting opportunity to work in a fashion start-up business (Style Team). This role has a broad range of responsibilities inclusive of managing assortment data, vendor communication, order management, market prep analysis, and curation support. This role is ideal for someone who has previous experience in fashion, is comfortable working in large datasets/excel, and comfortable working in a fast-paced

Daily Schedule

  • Associate category manager – assistant buyer role
  • Supporting a category manager on all daily executional tasks related to buying for physical fashion stores
  • Could range from communication with vendors on item set up, missing imagery, pulling items to prioritize market shoots
  • Supporting end to end cycle of item as it goes through buying
  • Entry level buying role that allows an individual to learn about buying and work on brand new business concept
  • Role is unique in a sense that it blends planning and creative side, opportunity to stretch themselves analytically and creatively
  • Sit within selection team (buying office)
  • Team is responsible for curating product to bring to amazon physical stores for fashion
  • Own curation and assortment management
  • Needs to be comfortable with very large excel data sets and with manipulating data at scale to drive decisions

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of vendor management experience
  • High proficiency in Excel and data analysis (there will be an excel test administered in the interview process)
  • Strong database and computer skills
  • Excellent presentation, organization and account management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • Someone who is super comfortable working with large sets of data
  • Someone who is comfortable navigating data set accurately and quickly in excel
  • Must be a self-starter (be an advocate for yourself if you aren’t sure how to do something)
  • Experiencing adjusting and running queries
  • Fashion industry knowledge is a big plus
  • Fashion buying experience is a big plus
  • Fashion merchandising experience is a big plus
