Tri-Cities Community Health (TCCH) is looking for a Risk Management Assistant who has a passion for helping others. As a community health center, located in southeastern Washington, serving Pasco, Kennewick, Richland and the surrounding communities.

Who are we?
Our community health center began as a modest sized medical clinic in Pasco, Washington in 1981. The clinic was founded by a small group of women in the Pasco community who saw the need to serve low income community members who could not afford to pay for Healthcare.
Tri-Cities Community Health has grown into a comprehensive non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) where we have evolved into a network of community health centers that continue with the foundation TCCH was built on and serve an even more diverse population in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas.
Description:
Under the direction of the Director of Risk and Compliance, the Risk Management Assistant will work in partnership with all levels of staffing to coordinate, schedule, support, and maintain compliance and risk management programs and initiatives.
Essential Job Functions
- Under the direction of the Director of Risk Management, assists in administering risk management functions to identify and limit legal exposures. Schedules, maintains and documents TCCH’s risk management program on an on-going basis, ensuring that it is consistent with regulatory requirements.
- Answers departmental phone calls. Acts as first point of contact for patients and staff requesting assistance from Compliance and Risk Management. Ensures timely return of voicemail messages and relays messages left for department staff.
- Acts as main point of contact for department director calendar; scheduling meeting arrangements and taking meeting minutes
- Works with department staff to documents complaints and/or Incidents.
- Treats and communicates with others in a respectful manner in the process of understanding and addressing concerns.
- Assist department in records management, organizing and scanning documentation into approved filing systems including compliance software.
- Under the direction of the Director of Risk and Compliance and in coordination with the Risk Management Coordinator & Risk Management Analyst, conducts risk management functions to identify and limit legal exposures.
- Participates in and coordinates the annual FTCA renewal application.
- Support HRSA/Grant renewal reporting.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
- The duties herein describe the principal functions of this job, level of knowledge and skills typically required, scope of responsibility, work requirements, and working conditions, but are not all-inclusive. Individuals may perform other duties and TCCH reserves the right to modify, add, or remove duties and assign other duties as necessary, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize work periods, or otherwise balance the workload.
Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Healthcare, Risk Management or Business Administration preferred.
Minimum Work Experience: At least 1 years’ of experience in risk management, healthcare administration, healthcare operations, or process improvement. Experience in Federally Qualified Health Center highly preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Proficient skills in communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all staffing levels.
- Ability to work in a high-volume and complex environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn enterprise software programs.
- Ability to review and analyze data in electronic format.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
