We are seeking a Risk Management Lead to support the Satellite Control Network (SCN) within Space Systems Command (SSC) in its mission to sustain and modernize the SCN and provide highly reliable telemetry, tracking, command, communication and control (TT&C3) for more than 170 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil and allied satellites.
As a Risk Management Lead with LinQuest, you will provide support the Satellite Control Network (SCN) within Space Systems Command (SSC) in its mission to sustain and modernize the SCN and provide highly reliable telemetry, tracking, command, communication and control (TT&C3) for more than 170 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil and allied satellites.
As a Risk Management Lead , you will integrate new systems and services into the Battle Management Command, Control & Communications Sustainment (BCS) programs, gain support for new and on-going efforts in all phases of the acquisition life cycle and develop and utilize engineering technical services to obtain systems engineering support and processes within BCS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- As the Risk Management Lead you will document and manage system level risks and review and provide recommendations on development and sustainment Contractor’s project level risks.
- You shall have an understanding of SCN mission critical aspects of Government risk management and DoD space programs and projects.
- You shall perform all functional duties, as the risk management task lead and require no immediate training.
You shall have appropriate certifications and easily transition between requirements without the need for Government oversight. - You shall have deep knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air and Space Force, Space Command, processes and procedures as it relates to their functional responsibility and speak and write Air and Space Force and Space Acquisition terminology appropriately.
Required experience:
- Minimum twelve (12) years relevant experience performing configuration and data management activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support or development Contractor arena.
- Experience shall include duties or assignments specifically in support of space acquisition programs organizing, scoping, technically assessing, and proposing potential resolutions to maintain the technical program or project baseline of an Acquisition Category III level (or equivalent) software and hardware program.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience leading the overall risk role of relevant efforts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the use of an electronic government authorized information management system, collaboration portal, or integrated data environment (IDE).
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university relevant to their area of expertise limited to the following: Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering Management.
Clearance Requirements: Active Secret clearance.
Compensation: The starting salary for this position ranges from $102,783 – $128,972 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
