This position is full time position. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Great benefits: holiday pay, vacation, 8 hours a month of sick time, and 16 hours of personal time, medical, vision, and dental insurance and IMRF. Starting pay is $22.65 for RN and $16.31 for LPN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides professional nursing care according to physicians’ orders, protocols, and/or in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures. Follows and recommends improvements on the established standards and administrative policies of the health department.

Communicates effectively with patients verbally to assess symptoms and needs. Uses clear and concise written communication for follow-up activities and reporting.

Recognizes and interprets symptoms of patients and reports to appropriate people.

Receives and initiates referrals for additional or continuous health or social services.

Assists patients with special needs or care problems in areas such as prenatal care, postpartum care, contraceptive choice, preschool care, child care, geriatric care, and infectious disease.

Prepares patients for and provides special services.

Prepares and maintains clinic area for client operations.

Understands and communicates to clients the basics of investigation and control of communicable diseases. Makes hospital and home follow-up visits as necessary.

Provides counseling and/or appropriate referrals with regard to physical and emotional needs of patients and their families.

Maintains clinical charts, records, and reports on condition of patients.

Oversees clinic supplies and equipment and alerts supervisor to equipment repair and needs.

Meet and maintain OSHA standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: RN from an approved school of nursing

Current Illinois Nursing license

Valid drivers license
