POSITION SUMMARY
Jefferson Radiology is seeking a Supervisor, Nursing Services who is responsible for management and leadership of the interventional radiology department including timely and effective operations and workflow in the Interventional Radiology and Nurse Navigator segments. This position works directly with the IR Physician and Breast Imaging section chiefs to ensure service excellence.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees Interventional modality operations to ensure service excellence.
Develops, implements and documents policies and procedures to maximize efficiency, productivity, and resource allocation.
Ensures proper training of new and existing staff members.
Implements changes and keeps staff up to date with clear and concise communications.
Regularly documents issues, resolutions, strategies and staff initiatives.
Recommends and implements cost-effective strategies for department.
Analyzes data reports and acts on significant trends affecting overall effectiveness of the department.
Ensures excellent customer service levels as measured by patient, staff, and referring physician satisfaction surveys.
Works closely with QC Coordinator in establishing and implementing QC program.
Maintains current knowledge of QC procedures.
Ensures all regulatory compliance of department.
Maintains QA checks for all equipment.
Assists in annual inspections if required.
Participates effectively in inter-departmental meetings
Provides clinical leadership and provides direct patient care, as appropriate. Demonstrates competencies in Nursing practice (knowledge and behaviors), utilizing research behaviors, to meet age-specific patient needs
Acts as Technical consultant for our Moderate complexity testing; CLIA
Uses resources effectively and efficiently to achieve the goals and objectives of the department within established budgets by determining future needs and contributing to development of budget, monitoring actual progress in collaboration with finance, and allocating resources to meet a changing environment.
Supervises activities of staff and act as positive role model. Evaluates workflow and performance to maximize productivity, efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring quality service. Ensures requisite staffing levels, working cooperatively with Clinical Managers and supervisors to ensure appropriate coverage, and provides business justification for new and replacement positions
Monitors performance against clearly defined expectations. Develops, reviews and evaluates performance goals and objectives on a regular basis. Conducts effective performance evaluation sessions with staff, ensuring fairness and timeliness. Establishes targeted goals and growth plans for staff. Performs disciplinary or coaching sessions as required
Maintains open and ongoing communications. Resolves problems and interpersonal conflicts. Monitors attendance, manages payroll adjustments and documents utilization of time off for all site staff. Ensures timely submission of reports, performance reviews, accounts payable documentation, and other materials required to support effective department and corporate operations
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with staff, supervisor, physicians, patients, and referring offices. Effectively addresses concerns and resolve problems in a timely, win-win manner. Responds promptly and effectively to patient and referring physician complaints. Keeps management apprised of significant personnel and operational issues. Actively participates in the interviewing and hiring process
Performs other related duties as assigned
Participates as a member of the Jefferson Radiology Team. Consistently demonstrates and promotes Jefferson Radiology Values
Ensures a professional attitude and appearance at all times. Consistently demonstrates flexibility and good judgment. Consults with co-workers and supervisor as necessary
Adheres to all Jefferson Radiology policies and procedures, including Compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, licensing and accreditation guidelines. Reviews policy and procedure manuals on an annual basis

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and current Connecticut Registered Nurse license required
Master’s Degree preferred
5+ years relevant clinical experience and 2+ yrs supervisory experience preferred
Must demonstrate strong leadership skills and prior experience handling personnel issues
Must demonstrate knowledge of related equipment and possess computer experience
Must possess excellent communication and patient care skills
Must be able to be flexible with work hours
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to lift 10 lbs., and up to 25 lbs. with assistance
