Provides project management for a large, highly complex, visible training Center working to support a Toxicology research training program; recruiting nationally STEM students from all underrepresented groups (including Native Americans, African Americans, Alaska Natives, Hispanic Americans and Latinos, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders), women, individuals with disabilities, and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Coordinates collaborations across the multiple research groups within the Center and between the Center and outside collaborating entities which is comprised of five academic campuses; UC Davis, Ohio State University, Iowa State University, Tuskegee University, and Michigan State University along with The Society of Toxicology; – all of which work closely together to ensure success. Function as a technical leader/Project Manager to assist the Training Center’s Principal Investigators with developing project timelines, and tracking Center progress towards meeting goals within the projected timeline. Assist investigators to: (1) draft scientific manuscripts; (2) coordinate publications; and (3) assemble materials needed to develop the regulatory aspects of developing a recognized training program.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor’s degree required in STEM related area/or equivalent experience/training.
In-depth academic background, experience and a record of publications in STEM related fields required.
Experience using program management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate, and influence others to achieve results.
Excellent skills to work collaboratively with highly diverse internal and external managers and teams, stakeholders and advisory bodies.
Excellent program planning through understanding of multifaceted working of a highly complex project.
Preferred:
Masters/Doctorate degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Previous work experience with Coordination of Training Programs and development.
Skills to formulate solutions, new program development, and/or alternative choices and implications for implementation.
