North Austin (Pflugerville/Round Rock area) electrical contractor seeking Safety and Fleet Coordinator. Reporting to the Safety and Fleet Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining the company Safety Program and Fleet Operations, providing the necessary guidance, maintenance, monitoring, recordkeeping, enforcement, and accountability. Additionally, will collaborate with other Company Departments to assist on projects and initiatives aimed at advancing safety measures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work alongside managers and Administrative Assistants to ensure employees are properly assigned to vehicles in the system, as well as given proper training on company driving procedures, WEX fuel cards, roadside assistance, vehicle accident reporting protocol, and maintenance expectations.
- Monitor the WEX fuel program including issuing and recovering cards, and monitoring usage for fraud prevention.
- Manage the In-Car Video GPS program, including purchasing, invoicing, unit assignments, as well as coordinating installations and removals.
- Assist in managing and maintaining the backend of various software platforms used by fleet and safety.
- Maintain up to date fleet and safety metrics and provide monthly reports to the Safety and Fleet Manager.
- Maintain compliance of all vehicle titles, tags/registrations and keep record of legal and purchasing documents involved within Company Fleet.
- Work with dealerships, drivers, managers, and supervisors to ensure all company vehicles are supplied with required fleet and safety accessories and equipment.
- Track toll and traffic violations, pay and record violations and assure proper documentation is distributed accordingly.
- Develop and implement measures that reduce accident rates across all service lines.
- Work with Operations department to identify and develop training procedures that promote employee safety at job sites and other workplaces.
- Participate in post-accident investigations.
- Participate in all aspects of new office set up and mergers & acquisitions where fleet and safety are concerned. Responsibilities may include providing pre-acquisition quotes, managing applicable documentation, and the coordination of setting each newly acquired vehicle up as a properly equipped vehicle.
- Participate in field and job-site visits designed to help staff identify current or potential safety hazards.
- Conduct on-site random vehicle safety audits, as well as write up post-visit reports, determine appropriate follow-up action, and assign tasks as necessary to mitigate safety noted issues and concerns.
- Coordinate the safety committee and may occasionally lead meetings or sub-meetings.
- Assist the Safety and Fleet Manager in developing the continuous improvement of the policies & procedures for both departments to ensure continued effectiveness.

- Construction industry experience preferred
