Support a 24/7 manufacturing process

• Have a working knowledge of the equipment and process in the production areas.
• Be available on nights and weekends.
• Interact with employees, regularly listening, observing operations, and giving feedback on safety. Ask questions, build relationships, and recognize areas to target for improvement.
• Inspire good performance. Keep safety objectives and priorities in the forefront of thinking of employees.

Helps accomplish department goals in these areas (specific targets should be produced by department):

• Ensure compliance on OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH and environmental regulations
• Stay up to date on site specific safety requirements of our customers
• Assist in providing OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, and other safety related instruction to our employees
• Complete safety investigations and reports on incidents and accidents in a timely manner
• Develop job specific safety plans for upcoming tasks
• Conduct job site safety audits to ensure compliance
• Work with teams to ensure safety policies are being followed and documentation is being conducted and returned to safety department in a timely manner
• Maintain a positive attitude and clear communication with employees
• Ability to physically perform the duties of the job including, lifting safety supplies that may weigh up to 50lbs, walking stairs and long distances
• Flexibility to travel on short notice
• Other duties as needed

Assist Safety Manager in ensuring the Safety Policy is actively pursued.

• Help write and update policies, procedures, and programs
• Assist in training technicians in safety regulations and practices.
• Regularly verify that procedures are being followed. Discuss with Production Supervisor and Safety Manager.

• Communicate incident investigation results including any corrective actions to the plant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,148.88 - $72,324.04 per year
