Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for a dedicated Engineering Associate Manager to become a member of the Safety Integration Team.

As the Safety Integration Associate Manager, you will:
  • Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility
  • Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans
  • Be a Full Spectrum Leader who is disciplined in value driven Systems Engineering and drives evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way
  • Work closely with your Navy counterpart to develop, integrate, and field a strategic process

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or related engineering discipline with demonstrated systems engineering skills
  • Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs
  • Strong leadership skills and whole systems thinking
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Systems Disciplines in one or more of the following areas:
o Systems
o Range Safety
o Nuclear Weapon Surety/Survivability
o Reentry
  • Experience with Hazards and their lifecycle from creation to approval by the government
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
  • Leadership experience within the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Line of Business or for a major Weapon
  • Control Account Management (CAM) principles, techniques, and processes, in either a CAM position, or a role with similar experience
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems engineering; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
  • Missile or space segment experience with one or more disciplines or fields outside of Systems Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
  • Active Top Secret or higher

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
