Section 1: Position Summary
The Sales Analyst ensures the integrity, consistency, and scalability of Ascensus Health & Benefits sales data and reporting and provides insightful analysis to support executive leadership’s decision making. This role designs and develops reporting, dashboards, interprets data, analyzes results, evaluates, and improves business processes, and aligns all tactical and strategic priorities with sales leadership initiatives. The Sales Analyst will work closely with a variety of people within the business inclusive of Sales, IT, Finance, Marketing, and Strategy. A subject matter expert, the Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting the goals and objectives of Sales Leadership through management, customization, development, implementation, and training related to Salesforce CRM, business processes, reporting, analysis, and tools. The analyst conducts highly complex work, unsupervised and with extensive latitude for independent judgement.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy actionable reports that enable sales leaders to make data driven decisions.
- Produce sound analysis from large raw data sets to support sales leadership to drive tactical and strategic departmental objectives and partnership decisions.
- Communicate analysis and key findings to leaders clearly, concisely, and timely.
- Subject matter expert for Salesforce projects, enhancements, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Create and maintain Salesforce-related business processes and related documentation.
- Build and monitor Salesforce automation including Flows, Approval Processes, Workflow rules, etc.
- Support Salesforce-based applications and activities, including application integrations.
- Assign appropriate permissions, roles & profiles, and will also serve as the main point of contact for users regarding troubleshooting and process related questions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify, prioritize, and validate project requirements and business objectives.
- Responsible for understanding incentive compensation plans and monthly incentive compensation processing.
- Serve as a conduit for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct a variety of ad-hoc analysis based on business needs.
- Establish and maintain data governance processes and strategies to minimize data integrity and business risk.
- Report data using Excel, Power BI, or other tools in an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment.
- Monitor data quality within CRM and databases and correct as needed to ensure continuous data quality.
- Evaluate ways to improve processes to streamline data delivery.
- Act as a liaison between the business and IT on all technical sales projects.
- Other similar projects and tasks as assigned by Sales Operations and Sales team leaders.
- Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years analyst experience with sales analysis or support, financial analysis, econometrics, or statistics.
- Minimum 2 years Salesforce administrator experience. Salesforce Business Analyst, Admin, Advanced Admin, or Sales Cloud Consultant certification(s) preferred.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze large volumes of raw data, draw conclusions, and develops actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity, and the use of creative solutions and critical thinking to arrive at solutions are a must.
- History of balancing multiple time-sensitive priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with and present to directors and VPs.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross functional relationships.
- Requires specialized skill set.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- CRM and Power BI or business intelligence tool experience.
