Overview:
ViaPath is currently looking for Sales Engineer (SE) to join our growing team. The SE will partner with the business development team to drive new business and revenue growth by providing technical expertise, competitive positioning, and ViaPath product solutioning to current and prospective customers.This is a remote position that can be based anywhere west of the Mississippi with access to a major airport.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute on-site technical presentations, demos, and lab testing for prospective and current ViaPath customers as well as internal team members and partners
- Design and deliver engaging product presentations that demonstrate an in-depth understanding of ViaPath's product suite (functions, features, value, and ROI, etc.)
- Work with AE/AM/RVP’s on existing product evaluations to ensure ViaPath technology is leading the market
- Actively collect competitive intel and share data with internal stakeholders
- Help to tailor and develop RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc. responses
- Complete ViaPath SOW accurately and in a timely fashion
- Provide real-world feedback to the development teams about existing and missing features of the product portfolio
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the ViaPath Demo Environment (including data)
- Configure, optimize, customize, and test ViaPath's recommended solution to customer to ensure a smooth, hassle-free demo
- Develop fundamental understanding of entire ViaPath product suite and become proficient will entire product line
- Attend industry trade shows in support of ViaPath's marketing efforts
- Attend weekly regional accountability calls
- Partner with the business development sales team members (AE, AM, and RVPs) to provide technical professional development on ViaPath's product offerings to ensure product knowledge and functionality so that all team members are capable of highlighting ViaPath's competitive advantage
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
- Minimum of 2-5 years of related experience
- Experience in Corrections Industry preferred
- Strong technical aptitude with an ability to creatively apply technology solutions to customer-specific business requirements
- Effectively able to present technical material to small and large groups, both technical and non-technical
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, time management and problem-solving abilities
- Able to successfully work in the fast-paced environment while meeting competing deadlines
- Ability and willingness to travel 50-75% of the time
