Job Title: Sales Manager - Stellantis

Company - Tier 1 Automotive Supplier Profile

Company is a global Tier 1 Automotive Industry Supplier of powertrain and chassis components with North American Headquarters in metro Detroit area. Company has established offices, manufacturing sites and technical centers in North America & Overseas. Company is IATF16949 certified providing customers with high-quality products and value-added services.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Manager - Stellantis position will be responsible for managing current business, targeting new business, enhancing profitability, and managing overall customer satisfaction at Stellantis and corresponding Tier 1 accounts.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Regularly visit customers and develop positive relationships with key contacts at all levels of Stellantis organization
  • Network within customer organizations to create awareness of Company’s products, capabilities, and resources
  • Prepare and present customer proposals to decision-makers in customer Purchasing and Engineering roles
  • Provide Voice of the Customer feedback to the organization
  • Manage all commercial aspects of current business programs to ensure all customer requirements and milestones are met
  • Identify, Target, and Secure new business opportunities that result in a request for quotation
  • Enhance company profitability by proactively addressing all commercial issues
  • Manage overall customer satisfaction by being primary liaison between Company & Customer
  • Execute Company’s Sales strategy while achieving personal KPI’s

Tasks:

  • Plans, organizes, and manages the promotion and sales of Company products to Stellantis and corresponding Tier 1 customers, ensuring that Company is appropriately visible and is included in new business opportunities.
  • Lead Company cross functional team in the development of Stellantis Account.
  • Recommend and participate in selection of Target Business.
  • Achieve Company’s sales growth targets at Stellantis and corresponding Tier 1’s
  • Meet deadlines with the ability to work under pressure
  • Be responsible for customer satisfaction and relationship, whether it relates to issues of cost, technology, delivery, or quality.
  • Identify trends and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status; proactively position Company to support those needs.
  • Problem solving attitude, positive thinker who can quickly pinpoint problems.
  • Monitor competitors, competitors’ products, and competitors marketing activities.
  • Strategic Planning, Forecasting, Quoting, Sales Planning, Reporting to management.

COMPETENCY REQUIRMENTS:

Education: BA/BS (Business, Marketing, Engineering), MBA would be a plus

Experience:

  • 10 or more years of related work experience in a combination of Automotive Supplier Engineering, Sales, and Program Management roles.
  • 5 or more years of current or recent experience selling to Stellantis/FCA North America.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Stellantis organization, systems, processes, and practices.
  • Deep understanding of Automotive Supplier Industry business including technical trends, innovations, vehicle development process, etc.
  • Prior Supervisory or Management experience
  • Proven experience leading a cross functional team (Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Operations) interactions with Stellantis

Computer Skills: Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Other Requirements: Effective communicator via written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills, Self-Starter and able to work independently, Automotive industry knowledge and passion, successful experience working in a fast paced, collaborative, complex team environment.
