The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily and long-term activities of multiple locations and sales teams across the greater Birmingham Alabama and surrounding
areas. As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for setting and adjusting sales goals based on deep knowledge of individual geographical location selling patterns. Additionally, the Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the training and development of sales leaders and individual contributors.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior executives to establish and execute sales goals for the region
  • Manage multiple sales teams throughout the regional branches to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate-set goals
  • Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Develop specific plans to ensure growth; both long and short-term
  • Review regional expenses and recommend improvements to reduce expenses
  • Maintain current knowledge of supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Review and revise sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture opportunities
  • Implement trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
  • Accomplish regional sales staffing objectives by selecting, recruiting, training, assigning, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Expand customer base by mentoring district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Assist sales personnel enhance and refine their techniques: manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met
  • Educate sales team with presentations by providing regular meetings, strategies, and seminars
Qualifications:
  • (7) Seven + years of sales experience; (4) Four + years in a managerial role
  • Strong communications skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical skills; Math Skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills; Ability to multitask
  • Motivational; Mentor & Coach; Ability to work well in teams & Build Relationships
