Position Overview
A Sales Representative job necessitates determining, generating, and capturing the sales outside the organization with the oil, gas and agricultural markets. It is essential for the Representative to effectively provide the detailed information on various products, programs or services offered by the company.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of company products to determine root cause. This also includes providing product design suggestions for future products.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers to include, but not limited to ECS, Flowmeters, product functionalities, etc.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and preparing reports. This includes answering technical questions, providing advice, and making recommendations to management.
- Calling on and profiling prospects for targeted regions.
- Scheduling appointments and meeting with customers and/or prospects in order to review product and to determine other opportunities.
- Assist customers and dealers for identifying best practices, operation set-up, product recommendations, etc.
- Provide product quotes to dealers and/or customers quickly via email or phone.
- Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Continuously keeping up with and updating all customers/dealers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
- Effectively attending trade shows and demos to promote the company brand.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Travel 50-75% of the time when needed.
- Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to represent the company in a positive manner.
- Passionate about product innovation and sales growth by promoting brand awareness.
- Comply with company safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 4 year Degree with a focus in sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Equipment sales & agricultural background preferred.
- Customer Service, Meeting Sales Goals, Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships & Motivation for Sales.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- CRM experience, HubSpot preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is required with a driving record in good standing.
- Must be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Travel to market areas in other states may be required.
