Springer's Jewelers is hiring a full-time Client Services Coordinator position in our Portland, ME location.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
This position falls under a client-facing service department that meets the direct needs of our clients by offering a superior experience always beginning with answering the phones, and qualifying in-store needs. Client Service and Sales Support would provide answers to questions and inquiries, address customer concerns and resolve immediate customer issues. This department will also facilitate all in-store ring cleaning and watch batteries. In addition to these client-facing duties, the Client Service and Sales Support Team member will be responsible for transfers, task list, shipping and receiving, batch processing, and posting.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Answering incoming telephone calls and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Relaying messages to the appropriate individuals
● Processing cash, layaway, credit card transitions for customers.
● Complete daily opening and closing procedures.
o Including Closing out the register and reconcile the cash drawer.
● Opening incoming mail and distributing in a timely manner
● Processing merchandise interdepartmental transfers in the system
● Maintain strict confidentiality and have high ethical standards and integrity
● Facilitate incoming repairs as needed to support sales staff. This requires inspection and diagnosis and then a determination on how/where to send them for service:
o Process all repairs through the system with appropriate descriptions, instructions, images, vendor information, and pricing.
o Communicate with customers or sales staff regarding their repairs/estimates.
o Inspection of all returned repairs from third party repair facilities or our internal shops and log bench jeweler quality control returns
o Running the open repair report weekly to check the status of all repairs that are currently in the system and follow up on status when necessary.
Preferred Experience:
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● High school diploma required
● Microsoft 365 – specifically excel experience preferred
