Key Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for meeting and/or exceeding Field Services sales objectives within specified period of time (e.g. monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding revenue objectives.
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities, increasing revenues.
- Maintains existing business relationships/revenues.
- Minimizes attrition and cancellations.
- Calls on customers, as required, to meet sales and business objectives and consistent with expectations of RES sales function.
- Develops, prepares and presents proposals, financial forecasts, budgets and other reports/information including but not limited to: call reporting, market intelligence, account activity, etc. and submits documentation in a timely manner as requested.
- Maintains pricing sufficient to meet business objectives.
- Monitors marketplace trends and activities and recommends interim strategies to react to changing market conditions within territory.
- Maintains working knowledge of RIS, RTS, and vendor profiles, and their capabilities and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates sales activities with RES sales support and RIS QA/QC functions to ensure safety and compliance.
- Participates in the formulation of budgets and forecasts and annual operating plan, as required.
- Controls business expenses within established guidelines and budget.
- Understands RES’ ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and assists with executing its objectives.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university and/or 5 years related experience as a sales technical representative in the environmental and/or industrial services field.
- Working knowledge of current DOT, RCRA and EPA regulations is required.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be willing to work additional hours or off-hours as needed to meet business objectives.
- Desire and ability to travel to customer sites (estimated at 75%+).
- Must be highly organized and able to problem solve to meet business objectives.
- Must be able to resolve conflicts to meet business objectives.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety, compliance and quality are required.
- Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office/Windows), able to generate reports and correspondences as required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
