Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in resolving sales tax billing issues efficiently and effectively
  • Initiate tax only credit or debit memos for further approval.
    • Coordinate and execute tax certificate update campaigns
    • Evaluate customer provided tax certificates and communicate with customers
    • Maintain exemption certificate system database
    • Archive one-time use (job based) exemption certificates
    • Stay up to date on exemption certificate regulations (domestic & Canadian)
    • Proficiency in sales & use tax system & integration with SAP
    • Resolve SAP user tax queries and issues
    • Assist with use tax decisions and compliance
    • Assist in sales & use tax return filings and audits
    • Maintain & update tax calendar
    • Maintain tax return files
    • Maintain files of exemption certificates issued by the Company
    • Understand sales & use tax financial procedures throughout the organization
    • Identify and communicate issues and improvements in both tax and SAP systems
    • Any and all other tasks assigned or deemed necessary

Education/Experience:

  • Prefer bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
  • Minimally require associates degree
  • Require 2 or more years relevant experience.
