Our Tech team is continuously improving the technology platform MedZed uses to manage clinical and operational processes to support home health in underserved patient populations. These platforms and applications are allowing MedZed to scale from a start-up operating in 4 states to a national leader. We are seeking an individual to join our small, but globally distributed technology team.

As a Salesforce System Analyst, you be instrumental in collecting and analyzing internal requirements needed to smoothly align our clinical/social practices, outreach and scheduling operations with our health plan current and future contractual requirements. As a member of our technology platform team, you will partner with our clinicians, behavioral health specialists, member outreach, schedulers, finance and other internal stakeholders to gather Salesforce, billing or reporting systems, collect data, implement small-scale investigations, in some cases write programming or prototyping scripts to manipulate member or clinical data, and prepare technical communication artifacts either in MS Excel, PowerBI, or PowerPoint.

Duty areas fulfilled by candidate:

• Gather end user requirements for Salesforce business processes, with integrations to EHR, Databases, and third-party systems and write user stories for development in Azure DevOps
  • Understand complex business rules and processes dictated by health plan contracts on enrollment, eligibility, clinical and social care, SLA fulfillment
  • Understand the impact of change management on rules and functions and how to design changes that lead to economic efficiencies
• Understand the business data lifecycle for our business, including ingestion, operations, enrichment, sharing, and reporting
  • Becoming proficient in Salesforce custom objects browsing and reporting, extracting data, or using the data warehouse, create data deliverables, extracts, and reports
  • Ability to create internal and external facing clinical activity or utilization reports or analytics deliverables used to fulfill clinical operations requirements
  • Understand data discrepancies that can distort accurate data deliverables
  • Analyze and improve supply/demand resource capacity models
• Understand the basics of Revenue Cycle Management for Healthcare providers
  • Understand how to model and forecast unit costs to explore what-ifs and validate operational hypotheses
  • Understands how medical reimbursement is dependent on correct medical coding
  • Understands the medical coding for patient encounters, diagnostic and procedural information
• Able to lead the communications around changes to business processes

• Strong analytical skills to work with claims and admissions data, work around data quality issues and produce analytical deliverables such as utilization improvements or contributing patterns in clinical coding
• Bachelor's or masters degree in Computer Science, MIS, math, statistics, finance, accounting, or a related analytical or technical field
• Python 3.0 (or similar scripting language) Proficiency to manipulate billing or claims data, ADT files, census information, or build basic Excel reports from scratch
• Salesforce Report creation and Maintenance (e.g. Sales cloud)
• 2+ years of supp knowledge of medical professional claims processing or revenue cycle management for healthcare providers
• 1 year of Agile Scrum development environment
• Advanced Working proficiency of Excel,
• Proficiency of SQL queries and writing stored procedures and views
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Visio, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote
• Nice to have: Usable intermediate statistical knowledge applicable to working with clinical operations data for ROI and utilization calculations
• Nice to have: Salesforce administrative and development certifications
• Nice to have: Agile Scrum Product owner or Scrum Master certifications
