Supervise sanitation personnel in the cleaning of the bakery. Plan and direct sanitation activities for a work shift. Ensure completion of essential job functions to maintain integrity of food safety program and product quality. Inspect, evaluate and train sanitation personnel to ensure cleaning standards are met and prevent product contamination. Responsibilities:
Hostess Brands, LLC, is a large packaged food company focused on developing, manufacturing, marketing, selling and distributing fresh baked sweet goods in the United States such as Ding Dongs®, Ho Hos®, Donettes® and Fruit Pies, in addition to Twinkies®, CupCakes, Voortman’s Cookies and Wafers.
Job Overview:
We have 2 openings - one on each shift:
Day Shift: 6am-6pm
Night Shift: 6pm-6am
Supervise sanitation personnel in the cleaning of the bakery. Plan and direct sanitation activities for a work shift. Ensure completion of essential job functions to maintain integrity of food safety program and product quality. Inspect, evaluate and train sanitation personnel to ensure cleaning standards are met and prevent product contamination.
- Plan and direct the activities of sanitation personnel during a work shift
- Ensure cleaning standards are maintained and prevent product contamination
- Conduct inspections and initiate corrective action as needed
- Pest control application as needed
- Ensure reports are properly maintained
- Evaluate job performance of sanitation personnel and take corrective action as needed
- Ensure proper training of sanitation personnel to follow work rules and procedures
- Assist in the daily evaluation of product quality to ensure compliance with established standards
- Ensure a safe operation in compliance with the corporate accident prevention program
- Comply with all collective bargaining agreements to foster positive employee relations
- Cooperate with engineering and production departments in the required maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Perform other duties relating to the efficient operation of the bakery as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 4 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Capable of teaching, training and sharing technical knowledge to employees within operations.
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Understands GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Effective Oral and Written Communication
- Working computer knowledge specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
