Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.50
Description
Responsible for accurate and courteous weighing of inbound and outbound trucks (involving face-to-face dialog with truck drivers), organization and handling of shipping bills and posting of shipments to computerized inventories.- All work must conform to customer expectations and company policy and procedures.
- Ability to take direction and supervision.
- Ability to interpret directions and/or instructions.
- Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
- Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math.
- Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.
- Working knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating principles.
- Work independently or as part of a team and interact appropriately with others.
- Self-motivated with ability to complete projects with minimum direct supervision.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Other duties as assigned.
Machines, Tools, Special Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment Used
Data entry using computer system, calculator, email and copy machine used for making copies, faxing and scanning- PPE; hard hat, vest, safety glasses, FR clothing, gloves, steel toed boots
Requirements
High school education or general education diploma (GED).- Prior truck scale experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
- Prior coursework and/or experience in accounting helpful.
- Ability to pass training and required testing.
