SCHOOL BASED HEALTH CENTER COORDINATOR

Summary: This position supports the Organization in the following manner:
- Work with school administration to identify opportunities to engage with students, guardians, and staff and create a calendar of engagement opportunities
- Have an ongoing meeting with administration to seek input, provide updates on SBHC, and develop a plan to jointly share with students, staff, and guardians.
- Communicate new service offering timeline to key contacts at Whitehall City Schools

Dress Requirement: scrubs or business casual in accordance to Heart of Ohio Family Health (HOFH) dress code policy
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday during standard business hours
Times are subject to change due to business necessity

Job Duties, these are considered essential to the successful performance of this position:
- Work with school administration to identify opportunities to engage with students, guardians, and staff and create a calendar of engagement opportunities.
- Have an ongoing meeting with administration to seek input, provide updates on SBHC, and develop a plan to jointly share with students, staff, and guardians.
- Communicate new service offering timeline to key contacts at Whitehall City Schools.
- Promote HOFH services to community, students and parents
- Conduct at least two weekly activities to engage with students, staff, or guardians for 100engagement opportunities during the grant period. Activities will promote health and increase knowledge about the HOFH school-based health center
- Collaborate with the marketing department to Initial and ongoing marketing of new services on social media in collaboration with Yearling High School.
- Marketing will include information about HOFH’s ability to treat patients with any insurance (including ability to bill Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance) and ability to assist families with insurance application.
- Other duties as assigned (non-essential)

Facility Environment:
Heart of Ohio Family Health operates in five locations, in the Columbus, OH area. All facilities have a medical office environment with front-desk reception area, separate patient examination rooms, nursing stations, pharmacy stock room, business offices, hallways and private toilet facilities. All facilities are on the main ground floor and ADA compliant.
This position’s primary work area is the clinical portion of the facility; i.e., patient examination rooms, hallways, and other clinically assigned areas.
The clinical area is:
- kept at a normal working temperature
- sanitized daily
- maintains standard environment furniture with adjustable chairs
- maintains standard office equipment; i.e., computer, copier, fax machine, etc. at a normal working height
