• WNY Bus Co is a private, locally owned school transportation company. We are contracted by local school districts to provide transportation for students of all ages and abilities. We are compliant with all DMV, DOT, and NY SED laws, regulations and requirements. We take pride in our services, safety and staff. We provide safe, reliable transportation for a wide range of needs.

• WNY Bus Co. is looking for an organized and outgoing individual to join our growing team!
• _Growing School Bus Transportation company is looking to expand their Safety Department hiring experienced Road Safety Supervisor to be a liaison between the Company and the School Districts and help manage 19a compliance issues. This may include:
• Must have good communication skills and be personable
• Interact with the Drivers, Monitors, Parents, School Officials, Students, Dispatchers and Terminal Manager
• Training new and existing staff on safe driving protocols
• Maintaining and administering 19a testing for employees as needed if qualified
• Help to ensuring all drivers and monitors are following 19a and DOT compliance
• Investigating and addressing all safety violations
• Respond to accidents/incidents
• Work with district officials and parents on issues, concerns, etc

· Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.

· Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards.

· Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.

· Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.

· Inspects safety equipment; recommends replacements.

· Drafts and implements internal safety standards and policies.

· Reviews accidents and incidents reported by employees and visitors to the facility.

Drive school bus routes if needed

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

CDL with p/s endorsements and school bus driving experience.

Able to pass fingerprint background check, DOT physical and drugscreen

· Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to conduct training.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field required.

· Health and safety certification required.

· One year of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to travel throughout facility to conduct safety inspections.

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.'

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
