Diagnose all maintenance activities related to the Company s vehicle fleet, trailer fleet, construction equipment and tools to ensure cost control, reliability, safety and regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventative maintenance on Fleet vehicles, trailers, construction equipment and tools.
• Ability to keep records of preventative maintenance, repairs and additions/subtractions to fleet.
• Inventory parts and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable DOT regulations.
• Additional duties as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

• Education/Experience: Diploma or Associates in Automotive Service/Technology; ASE certified; five or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of DOT regulations and driver requirements.
• DOT certified inspector or knowledge of DOT inspection requirements.
• Valid driver s license and clean driving record. Possession of Class A Commercial Driver s License with HazMat and Tanker endorsement or ability to obtain CDL and endorsements.
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of people and situations.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong proficiency using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Other critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.
