We are a small 20 room Motel close to the beach. Our housekeeping staff are important members of our 3-member team. We pride ourselves in the beauty and charm of our property.
This year we are looking to have 4 Housekeeping staff to ensure we provide excellent customer service and lead our season into a smooth one without excess burden on any one individual and plenty of overlap during peaks. responsibilities include checking private and public areas for tidiness. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of sanitation regulations and team ethics.
Your knowledge, skills and abilities should include:
Must be comfortable working independently as well as within a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities. Ability to take direction, and apply gained experience to daily tasks. Strong attention to detail. General knowledge of cleaning products and their safe application is necessary.

Physical Demands include:
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, and reaching overhead.
Lifting of objects up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities The majority of the daily work is outlined below:

  • Complete work in a timely manner to allow Check-ins to be on time. (All Team Members)
  • Stocks cart sufficiently with clean linens and cleaning products (All Team Members)
  • Removes all dirty linen from beds and bathrooms (Team Member 1)
  • Removes trash and replace liners (Team Member 1)
  • Clean carpeting with vacuum /// Cleans hardwood floors (Team Member 1)
  • Clean mirrors, windows, and frames, dust all furniture fixture and frames. (Team Member 1)
  • Clean entire bathroom including floors, tubs, toilets, sinks and surfaces (Team Member 2)
  • Make beds neatly with fresh sheets and pillowcases (Team Member 3)
  • Ensure all guest supplies are replenished daily according to standards (Team Member 3)
  • Ensure furnishings and fixtures are cleaned and placed properly. (All Team Members)
  • Ensure A/C left on an appropriate temperature before leaving the room (Team Member 3)
  • Verify guestroom are in working order including TV's, lights, A/C, heat (Team Member 3)
  • Timely communicates problems with maintenance that requires repair (All Team Members)
  • Reports damage, abuse or smoking in non-smoking rooms (All Team Members)
  • Train other housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks if necessary, in the case of a new member joining our team (All Team Members)
  • Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and common areas, for cleanliness
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies (All Team Members)
  • Through out the day, start and complete Laundry functions so clean linens are always ready for the next day (All Team Members)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Biddeford, ME: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
